I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix 4 D- w4 Q, K$ Z7 Q 5 K" Y0 |# x' o$ {/ w!
